Intent to Sell Stariski Creek Parcels
PUBLIC NOTICE
The University of ֱƵ Land Management Office (UALM) is seeking public comment on the disposal plan below.
Parties interested in commenting on this proposed disposal plan must submit written comments to UALM by fax at (907) 786-7733, by email at ua-land@alaska.edu, or at the address listed below no later than 5:00 P.M. on August 27, 2026, to be considered.

Disposal Plan
The University of ֱƵ (“University”) intends to dispose of two parcels of land totaling approximately 234.56 acres located near the intersection of Tall Tree Avenue and the Sterling Highway, situated on Stariski Creek near Happy Valley, ֱƵ.
The Conservation Fund has expressed interest in purchasing the parcels with the intent to protect the property’s natural attributes, conserve fish and wildlife habitat, and increase recreation opportunities. The Conservation Fund intends to work with Kachemak Heritage Land Trust to ensure effective long-term protection and stewardship of this property. The University intends to sell the Stariski Creek Parcels at or above fair market value.
This disposal plan is effective as long as the University owns the parcel.
